A well-established independent manufacturer, specialising in fine chemicals and rubber accelerators, is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team. With a strong global presence, this company continues to thrive, renowned for its commitment to excellence in chemistry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the electrical maintenance team and oversee external contractors as required.
  • Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance systems to ensure optimal operation of equipment.
  • Design, specify, and install electrical systems for capital projects, maintenance, and upgrades while controlling expenditure within authorised budgets.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements.
  • Act as a technical authority on all electrical matters within the business.
  • Support and develop team capabilities through training and mentorship.
  • Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and regulatory bodies including HSE and EA.
  • (ATEX/CompEx knowledge desirable but training can be provided.)

Essential Requirements:

  • Minimum RQF Level 3 qualification (e.g. Full City & Guilds Level 3) in a practical electrical discipline.
  • At least 5 years of post-qualification experience in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and shifting priorities effectively.
