A Quality Inspector opportunity has become available with a growing Nottingham based precision engineering business supplying complex components into a wide range of industries. With continued investment and a strong order book, the company is now looking to strengthen its Quality team with the addition of a Quality Inspector on a permanent day shift basis. In return, the successful individual will receive a competitive hourly rate, flexible working hours, regular overtime opportunities, a company bonus scheme, and the chance to join a stable, friendly manufacturing environment.
Quality Inspector responsibilities include:
- Reading from technical drawings, work on first-off and final inspection activities using handheld inspection tools.
- Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and customer quality documentation packs.
- Support calibration activities for internal inspection equipment.
- Complete non-conformance reports and assist with root cause investigations alongside production teams.
- Set and operate CMM equipment (programming experience advantageous but not essential).
Quality Inspector desirable skills and experience:
- Previous experience working within a similar position - Mechanical Inspector etc.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
- Experience using standard inspection equipment including verniers, micrometers and gauges.
- Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment.
- CMM experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to support continuous improvement activities.
