Quality Engineer
opportunity has arisen within a well-established precision manufacturing business supplying complex components into highly regulated engineering sectors. Working closely with customers and manufacturing teams, you'll manage customer complaints and quality escapes, support New Product Introduction (NPI), maintain quality standards and coach team members to improve quality performance. Quality Engineer responsibilities include - Managing customer complaints and quality escapes from containment through to resolution. Coaching and mentoring team members to improve quality standards. Maintaining the QMS in line with customer and industry requirements. Supporting NPI through PFMEAs, control plans, PPAPs and FAIRs. Leading internal audits and supporting customer and regulatory audits. Reducing non-conformance through problem-solving and continuous improvement. Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience - Previous Quality Engineer, Senior Quality Engineer or similar experience. Experience within aerospace, automotive or precision manufacturing. Strong customer complaint and quality escape management experience. Knowledge of AS9100, NADCAP, AS9102 or IATF 16949 requirements. Familiarity with FAIRs, PFMEAs, control plans and PPAPs.
