Due to continued growth, a global manufacturer of parts to renowned OEMs is currently seeking Injection Moulding Setters. This role plays a key part within production, ensuring the shift runs smoothly, job orders are completed on time whilst maintaining quality and minimising scrap.
Salary: £35,000-£37,500 + OT, 25 days annual leave + bank holidays, Monday-Friday
As an Injection Moulding Setter, your duties will include:
- Leading a cell of injection machines to meet the required safety, quality & delivery targets
- Supervision of operators, ensuring correct procedures are followed
- Completing tool changes and condition setting
- Resolving issues in a timely manner, escalating where necessary
- Carrying out quality checks such as 1st offs
- Participating in problem solving activities to solve customer concerns or rectify internal non-conformances
- Participating in lean manufacturing improvements (SMED, 5s, TPM)
- Completion of production records and documentation
To be successful in the role of Injection Moulding Setter, the ideal candidate will:
- Have in-depth technical knowledge of injection tools, injection moulding processes & troubleshooting
- Have knowledge of lean manufacturing principles - i.e. SMED, 5s, standardised work, levelled production & stop call wait
- Have experience of basic quality systems such as first offs, traceability, etc.
- Have experience in managing and improving production performance
