As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of advanced electrical systems from concept through to production. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you'll focus on the design and delivery of electrical harnesses, schematics, and technical documentation that support high–quality manufacturing and long–term product reliability. You will take ownership of harness design throughout the full lifecycle—working from initial concept, through prototype build, testing, and onward to serial production.
Key Responsibilities- Design electrical harnesses that meet demanding technical and customer requirements.
- Define harness routing, securing, protection, and system architecture.
- Produce high–quality drawings, schematics, and documentation to support manufacturing and service activities.
- Deliver cost–effective, reliable design solutions that enable repeatable, high–quality assembly.
- Support production teams with continuous improvement and root–cause investigations.
- Participate in prototype builds, providing hands–on support to validate designs.
- Ensure all Health & Safety principles are followed and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
We're looking for an Electrical Design Engineer with a solid technical foundation and experience in complex electromechanical systems. Proficiency with electrical design tools (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical or similar) and an engineering degree or HND with relevant experience is advantageous.
