A Quality Engineer opportunity has become available with an established manufacturer investing in the continued development of its manufacturing operation. Offering a clear pathway to progress into a Quality Manager position, this is an exciting opportunity to help establish quality processes, support continuous improvement initiatives and help shape quality, health & safety and compliance standards across a growing manufacturing environment.

Quality Engineer responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the implementation and continual improvement of quality systems, manufacturing processes and compliance standards.
  • Leading customer complaints, non-conformance investigations and 8D problem-solving activities to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Driving scrap reduction, rework reduction and continuous improvement initiatives to improve manufacturing quality and operational performance.
  • Creating and maintaining quality documentation, work instructions, inspection standards and management system documentation.
  • Supporting internal audits, customer quality requirements and Quality Management System (QMS) compliance, with involvement in ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 activities.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience:

  • Previous experience working within a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing position.
  • Good understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS), with knowledge of ISO 9001 and exposure to ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 advantageous.
  • Experience supporting audits, quality compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective relationships across production, engineering and management teams.
