Quality Engineer | Competitive Hourly Rate | Likely IR35 Friendly | Contract Opportunity A contract opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Engineer to support an established manufacturing business.

The successful contractor will focus on carrying out product and process audits, supporting non-conformance activities, maintaining quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.

Overview - Working closely with Production, Quality and Warehouse teams, you will help ensure products consistently meet customer specifications and manufacturing standards.

This role would suit Quality Engineers and manufacturing quality professionals who enjoy working within fast-paced manufacturing environments and supporting hands-on shop-floor quality activities.

Quality Engineer responsibilities include: Carrying out daily product and process audits throughout manufacturing operations.

Reviewing products during manufacture to ensure customer specifications and quality standards are met.

Supporting non-conformance investigations, quarantine activities and corrective actions.

Assisting continuous improvement initiatives to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.

Preparing quality reports and maintaining quality documentation and audit records.

Working closely with Production and Warehouse teams to ensure quality and manufacturing procedures are consistently followed.

Quality Engineer desirable skills and experience: Previous experience working within a Quality Engineer or similar manufacturing quality position.

Experience carrying out product and process audits within a manufacturing environment.

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Understanding of non-conformance management and quality control activities.

Good attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.

Technical qualifications such as an Apprenticeship, HNC, HND or equivalent practical manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
