The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 £ per year.

Applicants must live within roughly an hour's drive of Oxford, covering parts of Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Berkshire, north Wiltshire, east Gloucestershire and west Hertfordshire. Suitable home locations include Oxford, Banbury, Bicester, Milton Keynes, Aylesbury, Reading, Swindon, Cheltenham, Northampton and surrounding towns.

As an ARCA Site Auditor, you'll be responsible for conducting thorough compliance assessments of our full contracting members who hold asbestos licences. Working independently, you'll travel to member sites across your designated region to evaluate their health and safety practices against industry standards. Using ARCA's dedicated audit app, you'll systematically assess each member's compliance with health and safety regulations, documenting your findings and making informed decisions about their level of adherence to the required criteria.

Your role involves observing on-site practices, reviewing documentation, interviewing key personnel, and ensuring members maintain the high standards expected of ARCA members. You'll be making critical judgements about compliance levels, identifying areas where members excel and highlighting any concerns that need addressing. Your assessments will directly influence member standings and help maintain the integrity of ARCA's accreditation scheme.

The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to make fair but firm compliance decisions. You'll need to build rapport with member companies while maintaining professional objectivity throughout the audit process. This position offers variety and autonomy, with each site visit presenting unique challenges and the satisfaction of directly contributing to improved health and safety standards across the asbestos removal industry.

Job requirements

  • Proven experience within the asbestos industry, ideally as an asbestos supervisor, analyst, or project manager
  • Comprehensive knowledge of industry health and safety regulations and guidance
  • Strong understanding of asbestos removal procedures and compliance requirements
  • Valid UK driving licence
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule
