We are recruiting on behalf of a food manufacturer based on the borders of Southall & Hayes. The role is long term and possibly temp to perm for the right candidate. The shift is 20:00-08:00, you will work a rotated shift pattern, usually this will consist of 4 shifts per week, the operation runs 7 days a week so flexibility is essential.
The role: As a Production Supervisor in one of our manufacturing or packing areas you will be directly responsible for and will deliver day to day performance. You will be responsible for safety, quality & output within your line.
What you'll be responsible for:
- Coordinating a team of permanent and temporary operators (up to 11 employees) to achieve line targets.
- Complying with safety standards, ensuring the environment is safe for work at all times, while contributing to the continuous improvement in site Safety culture.
- Complying with quality and hygiene standards, championing the ownership of the quality culture and contributing to the site wide Quality culture agenda.
- Identifying potential talent or skills gaps in the team around you to ensure the whole team is performing as required to achieve line targets.
What we're looking for in you:
- Previous experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment.
- Experience in coordinating a team is essential.
- Strong and effective communication skills within the team and towards support teams within the site.
- Fluent verbal and written English skills.
