Draught Quality Manager (South Coast and South West)
City: Portsmouth
Type of contract: Permanent - Full-Time
Let’s be honest, have you clicked this advert because you’ve asked yourself “what on earth is a draught quality manager”? If so, I hope you enjoy the read. If you’ve clicked because you already know what this is and you know that this role can be incredibly rare in the market, then let me tell you more about some of the amazing work you could be doing.
Picture this, you walk into a pub you don’t know that well. It looks good from the outside. You’re keen to see what they have on tap. You’re greeted by a server and order a pint of their most popular beer. You spot it out the corner of your eye, because your years of experience have conditioned you to notice this. The glass shows signs of watermarks, the front bar lines have visibly broken insulation, and then you shudder. The nozzle touches the glass, the liquid slowly enveloping it as whatever residue was left over from the last pour seeps its way into your drink. You look around and realise the bar is mostly empty. Because as great as the venue looks, the beer just isn’t to a high standard. And we haven’t even got to cellar management and line cleaning yet!
Luckily this should never describe venues where we’re on tap. Because we hire people like you to ensure that doesn’t happen. The reason you notice this instinctively is why you might just be suitable for this role. Don’t get me wrong, you’ll need to know the technical reasons it’s a bad pint, not just that it is one. You will have worked in a role delivering dispense installs and be proud of the standards you maintained within that.
You’re looking for a bit more though, taking that unsurmountable passion for beer and sharing that with others to help them deliver the best beer within their venues. Because as a Draught Quality Manager, you won’t just be auditing installations, you’ll be a pivotal part of a wider team that helps our customers sell more beer in their outlets.
Your technical role is hitting a pivot where your next step is either moving into managing a team of dispense installers or taking that leap into something a tad more commercial that can still utilise your knowledge, insight, and expertise. If you’re looking for the latter, then this is what we can offer you. Best part is we can train you up on all the commercial stuff you need to know, provided you can show us your drive to learn more.
When you join us, you’ll have the freedom to create your own plan, set your own calls, and find your own work. You’ll mostly be covering the South and West of London so realistically you need to be based on territory to be commutable to those areas. You’ll get full training on our dispense standards so you can get up to speed quickly (because eventually you’ll be training others on those standards) and we provide an excellent environment for you to learn the commercial skills you’ll need in the role.
Does this sound like a bit of you? If so, hit that apply button today and we’ll come back to you as soon as we can.
We are committed to nurturing a workplace where we celebrate and respect difference, and support everyone to be true to who they are! At Asahi Europe and International we believe you can SHINE AS YOU ARE - no matter your age, gender, ethnicity, sexual orientation, disabilities, religion, or beliefs. We want to support you to be courageous in your individuality and to know that whoever you are and whatever your circumstances, you can belong with us without having to conform.
