We are seeking a Customer Service Manager to lead and evolve our customer service and order-to-cash operations, ensuring an outstanding customer and consumer experience. This is a highly visible role requiring strong leadership, deep process knowledge, and excellent stakeholder management across the business and with key customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the transition and ongoing management of Order to Cash, customer service operations, and consumer query management in partnership with Customer Supply Planners.
  • Oversee day-to-day customer operations activities through a dotted-line team structure, providing clear leadership, coaching, and development.
  • Own end-to-end order management, ensuring orders are processed accurately and delivered On Time In Full (OTIF), in line with customer lead times, MOQs, stock freshness, and service agreements.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, timely credit management, and robust month-end close processes in close collaboration with Finance and Credit Control.
  • Act as a key SAP user, leveraging SAP SD/MM to drive efficiency, data accuracy, and continuous improvement across customer and supply chain processes.
  • Define and communicate the Supply Chain service offering, balancing customer expectations with commercial, cost, and working capital targets.
  • Build strong, senior-level relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders, leading service reviews and driving joint supply chain improvements.
  • Lead service performance through clear KPIs, insight, and corrective actions across the wider supply chain.
  • Manage third-party service providers and the consumer helpline, ensuring high-quality, compliant customer and consumer interactions.

Qualifications

  • Proven people leader with excellent people management skills; personable, people-centric, and confident developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong background in supply chain and customer service, ideally within an FMCG environment.
  • Solid understanding of Order to Cash processes, including order management, invoicing, credits, and month-end requirements.
  • Strong SAP system knowledge (SD/MM essential) with the ability to translate system capability into effective business processes.
  • Highly effective stakeholder manager, able to influence at all levels internally and externally, including major retailers and wholesalers.
  • Commercially aware, customer-focused, and comfortable driving change and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in logistics, transport, warehousing, and customer demand management is advantageous.
