Regional Account Manager (New business) – Gloucester, South Wales & Birmingham
Have you ever been walking through the high street looking for somewhere to stop and have a drink? You walk up to a bar, it looks great. It’s welcoming. The staff are smiling. You take a seat.
You look at the drinks available and they’re not quite hitting the mark. Your favourite drinks aren’t listed and you’re stuck in that quandary of whether to leave immediately or stay for one because you’d feel it’d be polite.
Great venues need great drinks. This is your chance to help make that happen.
As a Regional Account Manager you’ll have the opportunity to shape the local scene by engaging with a variety of independent pubs, bars, restaurants, and hotels. You’ll be discussing their drinks range and gain an understanding of their customer base. But this isn’t a door knocking position, research and due diligence play a key role in ensuring you have a consultative approach to selling.
You’ll be keeping your ear to the ground as you identify new opportunities. That could be checking council licensing applications, relationships with your routes-to-market to know when competitor contracts are coming up, or simply getting to know a venue as a customer. We can then provide you with all the data you’ll need to ensure you’re entering into conversations fully prepared.
Once you start winning accounts, you’ll then go on to make sure that the transition to our account management teams is prepared to take on the new customer and can continue the great service you’ve already provided. Whilst this position is predominantly new business, some larger multi-site accounts will remain with you and you’ll be ensuring retention and growth of that customer.
To be successful you’ll be familiar with selling into licensed premises with a consultative approach. You’re able to demonstrate an ability to build strategic relationships with customers and other stakeholders alike. Finally, you’re meticulous in your approach to data gathering, you don’t like to “wing it”, you know preparation is critical to success.
The territory for this role covers South Wales, Gloucester and up to Birmingham.
If that sounds like a bit of you, hit that apply button today. Your application will be reviewed by a human and everyone who applies will receive a response. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
