Are you passionate about beer and interested in how it’s made? Asahi UK is offering an exciting opportunity to join our team at the historic Griffin Brewery in Chiswick as a Brewing Operator. This is a great role for someone looking to build a long-term career in the brewing industry. Full training will be provided.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Brewing Operator, you’ll be learning the key stages of making our beer. You’ll work alongside experienced brewers and learn how to safely operate equipment, maintain quality standards, and contribute to each step of the brewing process — from raw ingredients to finished product.
Typical Tasks May Include
- Assisting in the brewing process, such as transferring wort and adding hops or malt
- Learning to operate the Paraflow system and perform gravity checks on fermenting beer
- Helping with yeast handling and cleaning of fermentation vessels (FVs)
- Supporting beer transfers to packaging, including filtration and conditioning
- Performing basic maintenance checks and keeping your work area clean and safe
- Working closely with other departments like Engineering and Quality Control to ensure everything runs smoothly
What We’re Looking For
This is an entry-level role, so previous brewing experience is not required. We’re looking for people who are:
- Enthusiastic about beer and curious about how it’s made
- Comfortable working on their feet and handling physical tasks
- Focused on safety, cleanliness, and product quality
- Good team players with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Able to communicate clearly and follow instructions
- Basic computer skills are helpful, but not essential — we’ll teach you what you need to know
- Previous experience in food & drink, manufacturing, or warehouse roles is a plus, but not essential.
