We are working with a respected group of care homes across Edinburgh committed to delivering safe, compassionate and dignified care for older people, with a strong focus on person‑centred support that promotes independence, wellbeing and quality of life. We are currently recruiting Care Assistants seeking stable, consistent and rewarding work beyond typical agency roles. These are regular day shifts, no nights offering structure, balance and routine.
Your Role
- As a Care Assistant, you will support older adults to live safely, comfortably and with dignity in a residential care setting.
- This role is ideal for those looking to build experience in elderly and complex care, supporting residents living with dementia, Parkinson’s disease, stroke recovery, frailty and other age‑related conditions.
- Provide compassionate personal care including washing, dressing, mobility support, meals, and daily routines.
- Promote independence, choice, and dignity for every resident.
- Support residents with a range of complex care needs linked to ageing and long‑term conditions.
- Carry out safe moving and handling using appropriate equipment.
- Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Work collaboratively to deliver consistent, high quality care.
- Maintain accurate records in line with care standards and safeguarding requirements.
- Communicate clearly with the wider care team regarding changes in resident’s needs.
