ASA Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a Mobile Library Driver to support a vital community service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, engaging with the public, and providing an essential local service.

Working Hours:

  • Thursday & Friday: 08:48 – 15:00
  • Occasional Thursday shift: 10:48 – 19:00
  • Additional days may be available depending on service requirements and cover needs

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving and operating a mobile library vehicle
  • Providing a friendly and helpful service to library users
  • Using a laptop and scanner to issue, discharge, and request books
  • Managing stock and processing library requests
  • Ensuring the vehicle and service run smoothly on scheduled routes

Requirements:

  • Valid driving licence with CPC qualification (essential)
  • Experience driving vehicles up to and over 3.5 tonnes
  • Comfortable using IT equipment (laptop/scanner systems)
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable and flexible approach to working hours
