ASA Recruitment are delighted to be working on behalf of our client to recruit a Mobile Library Driver to support a vital community service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving, engaging with the public, and providing an essential local service.
Working Hours:
- Thursday & Friday: 08:48 β 15:00
- Occasional Thursday shift: 10:48 β 19:00
- Additional days may be available depending on service requirements and cover needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Driving and operating a mobile library vehicle
- Providing a friendly and helpful service to library users
- Using a laptop and scanner to issue, discharge, and request books
- Managing stock and processing library requests
- Ensuring the vehicle and service run smoothly on scheduled routes
Requirements:
- Valid driving licence with CPC qualification (essential)
- Experience driving vehicles up to and over 3.5 tonnes
- Comfortable using IT equipment (laptop/scanner systems)
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable and flexible approach to working hours
