Are you a hands-on individual who enjoys keeping buildings well maintained and supporting the smooth day-to-day running of facilities? We’re looking for reliable and hardworking Facilities Assistants to join our team, supporting a variety of settings across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, including care homes, day centres, and children’s services. We are currently recruiting for positions in Toryglen, Knightswood, Shettleston, Dalmarnock, Govan, and Pollok. Hours available include both weekday and weekend working, with a variety of shift patterns including 8:00am-2:30pm, 8:00am-4:00pm, 10:00am-2:00pm, and 3:00pm-7:00pm.
What you’ll be doing:
- Carrying out general facilities duties to ensure sites remain clean, safe, and well presented
- Undertaking routine cleaning of communal areas, offices, washrooms, and other facilities
- Assisting with basic maintenance tasks, room set-ups, and minor repairs where required
- Reporting maintenance issues, health and safety concerns, or hazards promptly
- Handling cleaning equipment and materials safely and in line with COSHH regulations
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the site to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and service users
