Supporting Independence in the Community
ASA Recruitment is recruiting experienced Support Workers to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals living in the community across Edinburgh. This role focuses on promoting independence, wellbeing and dignity, while supporting individuals with a range of support needs in their own homes and local communities.

This post is open to female applicants only, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9). The role involves providing personal and sensitive support to female service users, where privacy, dignity and emotional safety make this a genuine occupational requirement.
Main Duties
- Be the vital link between service users and their community, supporting them to attend appointments, social activities and community events.
- Provide person centred, respectful support that promotes independence, dignity and choice.
- Assist with daily living tasks, including light personal care, meal preparation, medication administration, household tasks and general wellbeing support.
- Support service users with mobility, exercises and social engagement activities as needed.
- Follow individual support plans and risk guidelines to ensure safe high quality care.
- Keep accurate records and communicate effectively with senior staff and the wider care team.

- Experienced Support Workers (community, supported living, or similar settings).
- Confident working independently and as part of a wider team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A caring, professional and reliable approach.
- PVG membership or willingness to update.
