Role
ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Edinburgh, are currently looking to recruit a Technical Architect on a hybrid basis, for an initial 5 month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate c.£700-800/day inside of IR35 (based on experience).
Responsibilities / Essential Skills
- Experience of engineering systems with a variety of technologies and patterns; designing systems, choosing appropriate technology, and embedding security controls.
- Ability to collaborate effectively on initiatives to improve overall team performance, working as part of a small and agile team to meet service needs.
- Experience of taking ownership of the end-to-end process of delivering a feature within agreed project parameters whilst also identifying and validating functional and non-functional requirements.
- Experience in application refactoring for the cloud and using cloud migration tools and strategies.
- Duties will include: Assisting infrastructure engineers and developers (front and back end) to ensure seamless transition to Cloud and to advise on the correct path for emerging technologies.
- Lead the communication of complicated, complex or risky architecture topics with technical and non-technical stakeholders by documenting system design decisions.
Candidate should be highly proficient in the following technologies:
- AWS Cloud
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux OS
- OpenShift
- JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
- JBoss FUSE
- Red Hat Single-Sign-On
- Cloud Repositories
Programming Languages: Java, JavaScript, Angular JS, Vue JS.
Desirable Skills
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL (EnterpriseDB), Jenkins Automation Server and Nexus Repository.
- Experience in architecting Cloud native serverless technologies.
