Our client sites in the Scottish public sector are looking for a Corporate Services specialist who can provide a wide range of business support. The main areas that the services cover include finance, procurement, business management, executive & management support, property, training, events, IT/systems, human resources, risk management and programme management.

You will use a range of corporate systems, in particular Microsoft Office applications, for storing, managing and retrieving information and contribute to continuous improvement of information systems by sharing views, ideas and experiences to improve the team's performance, offering and/or seeking practical help when necessary.

Responsibilities

You will work under the direction of the Executive Support Manager. Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient back‐of‐house services across enabling functions, providing efficient, effective and proactive support to a team in daily management, organising and preparing meetings and events, prioritising tasks and coordinating activity, and liaising with other departments to ensure the flow of information and maintain a consistent level of awareness and understanding in a rapidly changing environment.

Experience Needed

Applicants should have prior experience working in the public sector and possess strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis, reporting and complex data management, including complex-variety pivot table analysis. You must have proven experience providing high‐level executive or administrative support in a fast‐paced environment, with a strong ability to manage calendars, schedule meetings, coordinate travel arrangements and excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting professional correspondence and reports.

You should also be able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, prioritise tasks, manage competing deadlines, maintain attention to detail, handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion, and demonstrate strong analytical and problem‐solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs and take proactive action.
