Job Title: Day Care Assistant (Care Homes) Locations: Edinburgh Hourly Rate: £13.00 - £21.50 Description At ASA Recruitment, we believe kindness has the power to change lives. We\'re seeking individuals who place resident\'s wellbeing at the heart of their work. Those who go above and beyond to create a safe, nurturing environment for both residents and colleagues. Key Responsibilities Assist residents with personal care (Bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming) in line with individual care plans. Support mobility and transfers safely, using appropriate equipment where required. Promote dignity, choice, and independence while respecting resident\'s rights. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering meaningful relationships with residents. Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary needs and preferences are met. Encourage engagement in recreational and social activities to enhance resident\'s wellbeing. Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents following health and safety principles and risk assessments. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and the wider care team. Document care provided and report any changes in resident\'s health or wellbeing to senior staff. Requirements: 6 months UK Care experience Valid Right to Work in the UK CV covering 10 years work history PVG Update required through ASA Registration with the SSSC Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic Benefits: £13.00ph rising after 12 weeks, paid weekly Access to our bespoke online diary system that allows you to take control of your availability.
