ASA Recruitment are expanding their team of talented and experienced Care Assistants to become a crucial member of the Care Home network in Edinburgh. We are looking for people who put the residents' care at the centre of what they do, going the extra mile to make sure that the standards of the care homes are safe for the residents and other carers, and above all providing exceptional service to all those within the care sector.
Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
- Provide support with mobility and transfers, ensuring the safety and well-being of clients.
- Foster positive and supportive relationships with clients through friendly conversation, companionship, and empathetic listening.
- Engage in recreational activities and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and other team members.
- Document care provided and report any changes in condition to the appropriate supervisor.
Requirements:
- 6 months UK Care experience.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK.
- CV covering 10 years work history.
- PVG Update required through ASA.
- Registration with the SSSC.
- Compassionate and empathetic nature, with a genuine desire to help others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and responsible with a strong work ethic.
- Flexibility to be able to cover Days, Nights and Weekends.
Weekly Pay. Access to our bespoke online diary system that allows you to take control of your availability. Temporary, Flexible and potential on-going working opportunities. Refer-a-friend and £250 (Love2Vouchers) after qualifying period. Holiday hours accrued for the shifts you work.
