We are looking for a Building Project Manager to join our Client\’s Inflight Delivery and Technical Unit within the Directorate for Cladding Remediation. You will play a key role in delivering the Single Building Assessment (SBA) and Cladding Remediation Programme, ensuring projects are completed on time, to budget, and to the required specification.
Responsibilities
- Oversee planning and management of building assessments from survey to design and remediation.
- Review and assess Expressions of Interest (EOIs) and SBAs, making recommendations on scope and priority.
- Lead virtual teams and manage suppliers, ensuring effective project delivery.
- Write contract specifications, manage budgets, and verify works to ensure value for money.
- Apply knowledge of NEC ECC and PSC contracts, managing risks and resolving issues.
- Provide contract management and assurance reporting.
- Deliver accurate, timely updates on progress across multiple projects.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Degree in a built environment discipline (e.g. architecture, engineering, construction/ project management, surveying, fire engineering).
- Full membership of a relevant professional body (e.g. RIAS, RIBA, RICS, ICE, CIOB).
- NEC 4 Project Manager Accreditation.
- Strong construction project management and contract management experience.
- Knowledge of contract law, dispute avoidance, and risk management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced, high-profile programme.
Desirable
- Experience in cladding remediation, fire engineering, or building safety projects.
- Background in high-pressure incident management environments.
Contract details
- Location: Glasgow & Edinburgh
- Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday
- Contract: 6 months initially, with potential to extend up to 23 months
- Security: Basic Disclosure Scotland and BPSS clearance required
