As part of the role you'll help create a warm, welcoming and connected environment where residents feel comfortable, listened to and part of their community. Whether you’re sharing a conversation over a cup of tea, helping someone enjoy their lunch
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks, hot drinks and refreshments in communal café and dining areas
- Keep café, kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and ready for customers throughout the day
- Serve meals, snacks and hot drinks to customers, providing a friendly and welcoming service
- Build genuine, positive relationships with residents, visitors, families and colleagues
- Provide a warm and friendly welcome, helping people feel comfortable and included
- Use mealtimes as an opportunity to create a welcoming and sociable environment
- Maintain clean, comfortable and welcoming communal spaces that encourage residents to spend time together
- Be approachable and responsive to needs and concerns
- Follow safeguarding, confidentiality, health and safety and lone-working procedures
- Assist with washing dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment, worktops and food preparation areas
- Help clear tables and dining areas promptly, ensuring spaces are clean and comfortable.

- Interested in helping create a strong sense of community and belonging
- Previous experience in housing, care, hospitality, catering, customer service, community work is welcomed but not essential.
