We're recruiting Domestic Assistants to support care homes and public sector facilities throughout Edinburgh and the surrounding areas, with plenty of hours available to suit a range of schedules and personal commitments.
Whether you're looking for full time hours or a working pattern that fits around your other commitments, our dedicated Coordinators will get to know your availability and work with you to secure regular shifts. We want to build long-term working relationships, giving you a reliable point of contact and ongoing opportunities to keep you working.
Your Role
- Cleaning bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, lounges and communal areas to a high standard.
- Maintaining excellent hygiene, cleanliness and infection prevention standards.
- Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely in line with COSHH guidance.
- Replenishing cleaning materials and essential supplies.
- Reporting maintenance issues and health and safety concerns promptly.
- Working alongside care teams to maintain comfortable surroundings for residents.
- Following workplace procedures and health and safety requirements.
What We're Looking For
- Previous cleaning, housekeeping or domestic experience is preferred but not essential.
- Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- A positive, professional and considerate approach.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- An awareness of health and safety and infection control practices.
- A full five-year employment history.
- A current PVG or willingness to obtain one.
