- Here's the exciting bit…a day includes
- To take full responsibility of the daily transport operation and manage any ad-hoc requests to meet business requirements.
- To motivate, coach and develop a team of colleagues in order that they are able to carry out their duties in a knowledgeable, efficient and safe manner.
- To take ownership and monitor all people management issues for permanent staff within their area of responsibility, liaising with their HR to ensure a fair and consistent approach in accordance with company policies.
- Take responsibility for the weekly performance of the site with regards to Compliance (H&S), Delivery Performance, People, Cost, KPI Performance and Shinkage
- To continuously review and develop specified processes within their area of responsibility, working closely with the driver management team, planning team & DC operational teams linking into the transport dept.
- To provide store operations with a comprehensive and reliable service, optimising instore availability via the transport function
- To collaborate fully with other Team Leaders & their teams in order to support the overall performance of a shift.
- To provide an effective and seamless shift handover to the oncoming team.
- To provide the Transport Manager with timely updates on progress within their area of responsibility and raise and resolve areas of concern.
- Positively contribute to ensuring a site culture which demonstrates the Company values.
- Deliver objectives and targets set by the Transport Manager through your PDR. Understand company values and demonstrate improvementin key areas.

What you’ll need
- Excellent analytical and IT skills

- To collaborate fully with fellow Team Leaders and colleagues to support business performance
