Here's the exciting bit…a day includes working as part of the Customer and People team, you will support the whole department across your apprenticeship giving you more opportunity to expand your knowledge of the world of people. You will work 37.5 hours a week, Mon-Fri, on a 13-month contract, earning £20,500 per annum. This unique opportunity is perfect for someone who has a passion for HR and wants to learn all aspects of the department and widen their knowledge whilst having fun in a very welcoming department.

You will work through a programme of learning with the support of an Assessor and your Manager over a 13-month period, all done on site, so no college days! At the end of your training period you will complete a discussion around your experiences, a multiple-choice test and an observation within your role.

A typical day for this role includes:

  • Provide administrative support to the People Advice Team, responding to and managing queries received via the People Advice inbox.
  • Build effective working relationships within the People Advice team and wider People function, supporting a professional and consistent service.
  • Ensure all case management administration is completed accurately, consistently and in a timely manner.
  • Support with the coordination of cases by maintaining trackers, updating systems and ensuring documentation is organised.
  • Manage the scanning, filing and secure storage of employee documentation in line with data protection and company standards.
  • Maintain inboxes, trackers and filing systems, including uploading documents onto systems such as Pulse.
  • Support general administrative tasks including document preparation, data collation and record keeping.
  • As knowledge and confidence develop, there may be the opportunity to provide basic guidance to stores via the telephone under supervision.

You qualify if…

  • You have GCSE’s grade 4/C or above in maths and English
  • You have not worked in business admin before
  • You are not currently at school, college or university.
  • You have an interest in Human Resources.
