An exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the successful Superdrug Supply Chain; working within one of our three busy Distribution centres as a Super User. This vacancy is for the Southern Region Distribution centre; based in Dunstable. The hours of work will be predominantly as stated above but flexibility will be required across all other shift patterns.

About the role: A Super User is the first line of Management who supports the Team Leaders with the daily management/coordination of site operations; assisting with leading a team within a designated area of the Distribution Centre. Our operation at SRDC provides stock to over 600 stores across the Superdrug & Savers Stores Network. As you can expect this is a fast-paced role in a busy environment. A passion for results will ensure that all specified standards are maintained; if not exceeded. Working as “One Team” to ensure that operational efficiencies are identified and maximised; encouraging Growth & Innovation within the team, utilising appropriate resource and safe working practices; to help create a Supply Chain that makes our customer smile!
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Plan and direct resource in your area, to meet business demands; escalating any concerns to your Team Leader.
- Engage colleagues to achieve daily target, prioritising workload and dissemination of resource where required.
- Continuously review operational progress against plan, analyse data and operate pro-actively to adapt the plan where required; escalating any performance concerns to the appropriate Team Leader.
- Complete KPI spreadsheet and trackers that demonstrate performance/efficiency data; communicating all issues to the appropriate Team Leader.
- Fully understand all policy, processes & procedures in your area; acting as a source of expertise to support colleagues throughout the daily operation.
- Own Safe Systems of work within the area that you are responsible for, ensuring 100% compliance amongst the team.
- Be an ambassador for driving good health & safety practices within the area that you work.
- Assisting the Team Leader with ad hoc projects and reports when required.
- Assisting the Team Leader with all People Management activities.
- Working flexibly to meet the demands of the business.
Key skills & attributes:
- Proven experience within a distribution environment or similar.
- Ability to communicate and engage effectively, with team and colleagues.
- Good IT skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
