This is a varied role combining facilities support, porterage, meeting room setup and front-of-house reception cover. We're looking for someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in delivering excellent service and is equally comfortable moving office furniture as they are welcoming visitors to Head Office.

Here's the exciting bit… A day includes:

  • Receiving and distributing deliveries, parcels and post
  • Moving furniture, equipment and office supplies across the building
  • Setting up and resetting meeting rooms and event spaces
  • Supporting office moves and workspace reconfigurations
  • Welcoming visitors, guests and contractors to Head Office
  • Providing reception and concierge support during busy periods and holiday cover
  • Creating a positive first impression for everyone who visits Superdrug
  • Conducting routine checks of meeting rooms, kitchens and shared spaces
  • Supporting the Office Services team with day-to-day operational activities

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilities & Workplace Support
    • Receive, log and distribute incoming deliveries, parcels and courier items
    • Prepare and dispatch outgoing mail and packages
    • Move furniture, office equipment and supplies safely and efficiently throughout the building
    • Support internal office moves and desk relocations
    • Set up and reset meeting rooms to required layouts
    • Assist with office events and workplace activities
  • Reception & Visitor Experience
    • Support the Concierge and Reception teams when required
    • Welcome visitors, guests and contractors in a professional and friendly manner
    • Create a positive first impression of Superdrug
    • Respond confidently to visitor enquiries and direct guests appropriately
    • Assist with meeting room bookings and visitor arrivals
    • Deliver excellent customer service to colleagues and visitors alike
  • Facilities Support
    • Conduct routine checks of meeting rooms, kitchens and communal areas
    • Report faults, maintenance issues and workplace hazards
    • Maintain safe, organised and tidy storage areas
    • Support the smooth day-to-day running of Head Office facilities
  • Health & Safety
    • Follow all Health & Safety policies and procedures
    • Carry out manual handling tasks safely and responsibly
    • Help maintain a safe working environment for colleagues and visitors

What We're Looking For

  • Essential
    • Previous experience in a facilities, porterage, workplace support, logistics, hospitality or customer service role
    • Comfortable working in a physically active role involving regular lifting, carrying, moving and setting up furniture and equipment
    • Ability to carry out manual handling activities safely throughout the working day
    • Confident interacting with colleagues, visitors and stakeholders at all levels
    • Excellent customer service and communication skills
    • Professional and approachable manner
    • Strong organisational and time-management skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft 365 and email
  • Desirable
    • Experience working within a corporate Head Office environment
    • Reception, concierge or front-of-house experience
    • Knowledge of Health & Safety and manual handling practices
    • Experience supporting facilities or workplace services

Additional Requirements

  • This role involves regular manual handling, lifting, carrying and moving furniture, deliveries and office equipment.

  • Flexibility to support occasional events, workplace changes and busy periods.
  • Willingness to provide reception and visitor support when required.
