- The Online & Distribution finance team forms part of the wider Commercial Finance team consisting also of Trading Finance, Healthcare Finance, Retail Finance, Procurement and Property & Investments Finance.
- A great opportunity within the Online & Distribution Commercial Finance team as a Finance analyst supporting Warehouse and Distribution.
- The team provides financial analysis and support to a wide range of stakeholders including the Supply Chain Director, Finance Director, CEO of Superdrug, MD of Savers & the Warehouse and Transport Operations team.
We care about individual career development and we’re looking for someone who wants to grow with us, with the business supporting you towards either CIMA, ACA or ACCA accreditation.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of month end processes in relation to Warehouse & Distribution, including the calculation & posting of accruals & prepayments.
- Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations ensuring they are completed with a high degree of accuracy.
- Fleet related costs, including IFRS16 lease accounting / reconciliations.
- Financial reconciliation work ensuring integrity between month end costs and those reported in operational trackers.
- Lead Weekly Cost calls with DC and Warehouse teams.
- Contract Spend analysis to support investment decisions and quarterly contract spend tracking vs plan.
- Adhoc analysis as required.
Person Specification
- Part Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA or relevant University degree (Accounting & Finance, Economics, Maths) with a minimum of 2:1 grade.
- Experience using Excel.
- Diligent with attention to detail, self-motivated & enthusiastic.
- Ability to work in a fast pace and dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
- Ability to develop strong working relationships across the business including working with non-finance customers and third party providers.
