About The Role
Are you excited by large-scale investment programmes, transforming homes, and leading high-impact capital projects? If yes then this could be the role for you.
We are looking for a skilled and driven Capital Works Manager to lead major programmes across our organisation.
What will I be doing?
You will lead the planning and delivery of our capital investment programme shaping the future of our homes. You will:
- Deliver major repairs, refurbishments and planned programmes
- Lead the management of the Voids Programme
- Manage the Major Fire Works Programme
- Conduct surveys and technical scoping
- Develop specifications, tenders and contract documentation
- Ensure regulatory and building safety compliance
- Manage contractors to ensure quality, performance and value for money
- Oversee project budgets and report to senior stakeholders
- Support sustainability and decarbonisation initiatives (including Warm Homes Wave 3)
- Engage residents to ensure considerate project delivery
- Maintain high-quality asset data and records
This is a highly visible role requiring regular travel nationally.
About The Candidate
What do I need to apply?
- Degree or HNC/HND in Building Surveying, Construction, Engineering or similar
- Professional membership (RICS, CIOB, APM, CIBSE or MIET) or working towards
- Experience delivering capital works programmes
- Strong technical and contract management knowledge
- Understanding of CDM and building safety regulations
- Strong fire safety legislation knowledge
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
