This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is attracted to covering occasional shifts on a casual basis at our Calverley Hill service. At Salvation Army Homes, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement. The Relief Support Worker will work with people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation.

- Get to know and build the trust of our clients.
- Unlock our clients' potential to live independently.
- Enhance their social integration by encouraging participation in social and leisure programmes.
- Help residents with their support needs and with the practicalities of everyday living.
About The Candidate

You Will Need To
- Be a confident and capable communicator, not fazed by difficult situations.
- Be able to build trusting, professional relationships and have a high level of resilience.
- Take an asset-based approach to empowering people to develop their skills, strengths and talents.
- Have good knowledge or experience of working with homeless people, and/or supporting vulnerable people or groups.
- Understand or learn about community resources and organisations that can help our clients.
- Participate in our 24-hour shift rota system which includes sleep-ins and additional payment.
