We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Night Traffic Operator to join a fast-paced and growing transport operation based in Medway. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established and highly respected logistics business operating at the forefront of the UK container transport industry.
Working on a 4 on / 4 off night shift pattern, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of night-time operations, coordinating drivers, managing schedules, and maintaining excellent communication with ports and customers.
The role of Night Transport Operator includes:
- Managing and communicating with multiple drivers throughout the shift
- Liaising with ports and booking delivery/entry slots
- Using TOPS transport system to log driver start and finish times
- Monitoring ETAs and ensuring on-time performance
- Rerouting jobs where necessary to maintain efficiency
- Matching PODs (Proof of Delivery) with correct jobs on the system
- Communicating with customers regarding delays and updates
- Maintaining accurate records and operational control at all times
