The Project Design Engineer will join the technical team and play a key role in designing and delivering bespoke machinery solutions. This is a varied, handsāon role combining design, projects, testing and customer support.
Role responsibilities
- Design special purpose machinery using 3D CAD (Inventor) and 2D AutoCAD
- Run customer projects from order to commissioning
- Produce layouts, BOMs and project documentation
- Support sales, production and service teams with technical queries
- Carry out ināhouse testing and support factory trials
- Support site surveys and commissioning when required
- Maintain technical files for UKCA / CE compliance
- Drive continuous improvement in design and processes
What weāre looking for
- Degree qualified (or similar) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or Product Design
- Strong CAD skills (Inventor preferred)
- Organised, proactive and comfortable managing projects
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Calm under pressure with great attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a positive, handsāon attitude
