Our client is an international freight forwarder and they are looking to recruit an experienced import clerk to join their Felixstowe team.
Duties
Liaise with overseas partners to arrange shipments and collection of goods
Monitor shipments throughout their journey
Arranging customs clearance and delivery of shipment upon arrival
Invoicing clients
Processing purchase invoices
Issuing quotations to clients
Liaising with sales teams to assist with business development
Skills
Good freight forwarding knowledge and experience
Exceptional customer service skills
Previous experience with customs entries and brokerage
Good team player and ability to work on own initiative
Willingness to keep up to date with changes to customs and compliance regulation
Knowledge of Multifreight desirable
Good level of Microsoft Office – Excel & Word
