About the Client
Our client is a well-established, family-run logistics business with over 20 years of industry experience. Based in Coalville, Leicester, they operate a substantial and modern fleet comprising over 60 tractor units, 160+ trailers, and rigid vehicles. With a strong reputation for reliability and service, they also maintain their own fleet through a dedicated in-house servicing team. They are now looking to expand their team with a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join their night shift operation.
Role Overview
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician to join a close-knit and supportive team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles to a high standard, both in the workshop and occasionally on-site at local customer locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all aspects of commercial vehicle maintenance and repairs
- Conduct on-site servicing and repairs using a service van when required
- Use technical knowledge and initiative to diagnose and resolve issues
- Complete all documentation accurately using Blue Crystal
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Carry out PMI inspections and prepare vehicles for MOT
- Maintain high standards of work
