We are working with our valued client to facilitate a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join them at the new premises in Stowmarket working with Solar and Sandwich Panels. You will be a part of a new team adding skills & value from the start!
Key Responsibilities
- Must have technical background and qualifications for mechanical maintenance.
- Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components and plant equipment using engineering drawings, tools, and workshop machinery.
- Hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge is a must. Familiarity with pumps and chemical dosing is beneficial.
- Respond to any equipment breakdown in a timely manner to ensure continuity of the production line.
- Carry out daily inspections and regular preventive maintenance.
- Ability to read technical drawings and take measurements.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects related to the production line.
- Report findings and solutions for any kind of breakdown.
- Ability to work effectively within a maintenance team.
- Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times.
Additional Information
- Experience a must!
- Initial tasks will include assisting in machine installation, followed by full-time work at the factory.
- Experience in a similar sector is advantageous.
- Experience in the panel, insulation, or cladding sector is preferred, but relevant industrial experience will also be considered.
Interview
- Interview schedule may vary depending on the availability of the Facility Manager.
- Preferred format is a 30-minute face-to-face interview at the site.
- This allows candidates to view the working environment and enables in-person interaction.
Salary & Benefits
- £35,000 gross salary.
- Working hours: 08:00 am to 04:30 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- Overtime paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.
- 20 days annual leave plus public and bank holidays.
