Our well established Freight Forwarding client based in Felixstowe is looking for an experienced Export Manager to oversee and manage all export operations ensuring efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods to international destinations. Key Responsibilities:- Plan, coordinate, and monitor export shipments from origin to destination.
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and Incoterms.
- Prepare and verify export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, etc.).
- Negotiate rates and services with carriers, shipping lines, and agents.
- Liaise with clients to provide updates, resolve issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Manage relationships with overseas agents and partners for smooth operations.
- Monitor shipment tracking and proactively address delays or disruptions.
- Maintain accurate records and generate reports for management.
- Strong knowledge of freight forwarding processes and international logistics.
- Familiarity with customs clearance procedures and export documentation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Proficiency in freight management systems and MS Office.
