As an EHS Manager based at our Huddersfield site, you will be a key driver in strengthening a proactive safety culture across a complex and diverse operational environment. Supporting a top-tier COMAH site alongside R&D and engineering service activities, you will act as a trusted advisor to the business—ensuring compliance, reducing risks, and empowering teams to work safely and sustainably. This role plays a critical part in enabling Arxada’s long-term growth by protecting our people, customers, assets, and communities, while shaping and advancing the EHS strategy in alignment with broader company goals.
- Lead and continuously improve the risk assessment programme across all business areas.
- Drive process safety management at the top-tier COMAH site and ensure compliance with COMAH regulations and the COMAH intervention plan.
- Monitor, report, and enhance EHS performance metrics and manage local systems to maintain ISO 14001 certification.
- Provide coaching and support to management and employees on EHS matters, strengthening overall competency and awareness.
- Manage the local EHS audit programme and maintain robust emergency response procedures.
Bachelor’s degree (B.Sc. in Chemistry or an Engineering-related field), NEBOSH Diploma and Chartered IOSH membership are essential. 10+ years of EHS management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally with COMAH exposure. Full driving licence required, as the role will involve visiting the Manchester site and occasional visits to customer sites.
