We are looking for a Technical Programme Manager who thrives at the intersection of engineering rigour, operational complexity, and process governance. You will be responsible for designing and building the programme infrastructure across engineering teams and operational stakeholders alike. You will connect geographically distributed teams in the UK, Germany, and Ukraine, ensuring field reality reaches the central product organisation in Germany in a form that enables prioritisation, and that commitments back to the field are realistic, visible, and delivered. You bring clarity where there is ambiguity, structure where there is noise, and accountability where there are gaps.

What You’ll Build

  • Design and implement programme processes across engineering, product, and mission operations teams.
  • Establish and enforce a Jira-based operating model, including workflows, ticket standards, and definitions of done.
  • Own deliverable gates and readiness criteria for milestones, releases, and deployments, ensuring evidence-based sign-off.
  • Drive planning, tracking, and execution of exercises and demonstrations, including feedback capture and post-event closeout.
  • Manage integrated schedules, dependencies, risks, and critical paths across hardware, software, and integration workstreams.
  • Translate operational and engineering inputs into structured, testable requirements with clear acceptance criteria and traceability.
  • Govern feedback and change processes between local integration activities and centrally prioritised product development teams.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience leading complex technical programmes in defence, robotics, autonomy, automotive, or similarly regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and implement programme and engineering processes from scratch.
  • Strong track record delivering mission-critical systems in high-pressure operational environments with full ownership of scope, schedule, and execution.
  • Skilled at translating ambiguous operational and engineering inputs into structured, actionable, and decision-ready outputs.
  • Strong stakeholder and engineering management skills, including enforcing quality standards, readiness criteria, and Jira-based workflows with confidence and evidence-driven decision making.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field desirable; a technical background is desirable but the curiosity and the ability to know which questions to ask and when whilst engaging with senior engineers is essential.
  • Willingness to travel within EU, especially Germany.
  • Excellent English is a must; German is a plus.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK is required.

Please note: You do not need to meet every single requirement to apply. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to grow into the role and develop their expertise further.

What We Offer

  • Join a mission-driven European defense tech company at a pivotal stage of growth, where you can help shape meaningful technology, take ownership early, and grow with the business!
  • Competitive compensation package including a bonus opportunity.
  • 27 days of annual leave to start, increasing with tenure up to 30 days.
  • Enhanced pension scheme plus private medical and dental insurance.
  • Learning & development support and team events budget.
  • Hybrid working setup depending on role and team needs.
  • Structured salary bands, levelling framework, and bi-annual development conversations.
  • Referral bonus program, dog-friendly office, and relocation support where applicable.
