For over a decade, it has been the privilege of ARx to support this one client with their ongoing development and growth of their UK business. This company is a global enterprise, with partnerships and relationships spanning the globe, and recently their UK division has been going through an expansion, and is looking to take on a new market: the NHS.

They are looking for a Business Development Consultant with extensive experience of working with NHS Trusts, who can come in on an hourly basis, and help to introduce their pharmaceutical products to market. This role is a niche position. The ideal candidate would be:

  • Confident, not someone with an ego
  • Experienced, working with the NHS and supplying to the NHS is ideal
  • Experienced in Business Development within Pharmaceuticals
  • Able to work multiple hours per week with the team, and alongside the existing business development team to grow the market
  • Ethical, Professional and a good communicator

This company prides itself on its reputation, and its wonderful workforce, and anyone joining on a freelance basis would still be considered part of this impressive team. Rates are negotiable and hours are also negotiable. The focus of this role is someone who has experience who can help them grow this new market.

You’ll be measured on:

  • Your ability to achieve 100% of the annual tender sales target and agreed market share growth across assigned NHS trusts
  • Formulary Access - securing 3-6 new formulary inclusions per year and maintain 80% retention of listed products
  • Deliver 60% - 70% tender win rate through NHS supply chain and regional procurement frameworks (or defined company benchmark)
