About the Role
A growing digital agency serving UK-based clients is looking for a data-driven, results-focusedMid-Senior SEO Expert to join its remote team. This is a strategic, hands-on role for someone who thrives in multi-client environments and is passionate about driving organic performance at both local and national scale.
You will be responsible for planning and executing SEO strategies across a diverse portfolio of clients, as well as managing internal web properties. If you’re confident in technical SEO, content optimisation, and using tools like SEMrush, GA4, and Screaming Frog — this role offers full ownership and the chance to grow within a collaborative digital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute tailored SEO strategies to meet client and internal business goals
- Lead Local SEO activities (GBP optimisation, citations, reviews, NAP consistency)
- Manage national SEO campaigns for scalable growth
- Conduct in-depth keyword research, technical audits, and competitor analysis
- Optimise websites across on-page, site structure, schema markup, and UX factors
- Track performance using SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, GSC, Screaming Frog, etc.)
- Collaborate with devs, content writers, and account managers on SEO execution
- Contribute to SEO proposals to support new business opportunities
- Stay up to date with algorithm changes, SEO trends, and industry best practices
- Review and optimise content for search engines and users
- Provide QA on SEO implementation, mainly on WordPress and custom-built sites
Key Requirements
- 3+ years of SEO experience in an agency or multi-client setting
- Strong background in Local SEO and national organic growth strategies
- Solid technical SEO understanding (indexing, site speed, crawling, mobile UX, etc.)
- Advanced experience with WordPress and SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, GA4, GSC)
- Strong communication skills and ability to present insights to clients or stakeholders
- Able to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously with attention to detail
- Collaborative, solutions-focused, and eager to learn and improve
Desirable Extras
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript (SEO-focused)
- Experience collaborating with developers or on bespoke website builds
