About the Role
We are looking for an HR Systems Administrator to take an active role in the configuration, development and ongoing improvement of our HR systems. Reporting into the HCM Systems & Data Analyst, this role is responsible for ensuring our HR platforms are not only stable and accurate, but continually evolving to support the needs of HR, Operations and the wider business. This is a hands‑on systems role suited to someone who enjoys working with data structures, system logic and workflows, and who is comfortable translating business requirements into practical system solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- HR Systems Configuration & Development
- Configure, maintain and develop the HR system to support business processes and data requirements.
- Create and maintain system elements such as fields, tables, panels, forms, calculations and workflows.
- Manage system security including user access, permissions and profile configuration.
- Support the introduction of new data sets and functionality, working with stakeholders to define requirements and appropriate system design.
- Ensure data integrity, compliance and audit‑readiness across all HR system records.
- Reporting & Data
- Design, produce and maintain accurate and meaningful reports for HR, Operations and Payroll.
- Support dashboards, ad‑hoc reporting and data extracts.
- Act as a subject‑matter expert for HR system data, supporting interpretation and usage across the business.
- Collaborate with BI and data colleagues to support development of wider reporting and measures.
- Support reporting outputs to the Payroll function.
- Assist managers and users with Time & Attendance queries and data anomalies.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies to ensure data accuracy.
- User Support & Collaboration
- Provide second‑line support to HR system users, troubleshooting access, navigation and data issues.
- Self‑assign and resolve tickets through the ticket portal, prioritising work effectively.
- Work with the wider HR Systems and Data team to improve ticket formats and workflows where required.
- Develop and deliver clear guidance, training materials and user documentation to support system changes and enhancements.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through system configuration, automation and data improvements.
- Work closely with HR and operational stakeholders to deliver system‑led process improvements.
About You
- Enjoys working with system configuration and data structures, rather than solely end‑user system operation.
- Think logically about how data should be structured, secured and reported.
- Are comfortable working with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Take ownership, are methodical in your approach, and enjoy solving system‑based problems.
- Have a strong eye for data quality, accuracy and consistency.
- Demonstratable experience supporting or administering business systems (HR, payroll, workforce, finance, or similar).
- Hands‑on experience configuring system elements such as users, permissions, workflows, fields or reports.
- Strong experience working with structured data and producing reliable reporting outputs.
- Experience analysing and troubleshooting data issues.
- Good Excel skills and confidence working with datasets.
- A logical, organised and detail‑focused approach to work.
- SQL or database querying experience.
- Power BI or other data visualisation tools.
- Experience supporting Time & Attendance systems.
Benefits
- Discretionary Annual Bonus: Recognising and rewarding your individual contribution to the company’s success.
- Flexible Enhanced Family Leave Pay: We offer eligible employees the option to spread their enhanced maternity, adoption, or shared parental leave pay evenly across their leave period.
- Generous Holiday Entitlement: 25 days of annual leave plus 8 bank holidays, with the option to purchase up to 5 additional days.
- Pension Scheme: 4% employee contribution matched.
- Life Insurance: Cover of 4 x your basic annual salary.
- Health and Wellbeing Support: Access to a 24/7 online GP, mental health services, fitness programmes and more, available to you and your immediate family.
