You’ll lead a team of Training Specialists and take ownership of how training is planned, delivered and continuously improved. You’ll work closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts and client stakeholders to ensure colleagues are equipped with the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to succeed, while making sure FCA, contractual and client requirements are fully embedded and evidenced.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and manage a team of Training Specialists, creating a high‑performing, supportive and continuously improving training function.
  • Act as the main point of contact for training‑related queries and requirements, both internally and externally.
  • Design, plan and deliver engaging training programmes, including induction, process, product, regulatory and soft skills training for new and existing colleagues.
  • Continuously review and improve training content and delivery methods to reflect business priorities, client expectations, quality insights and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse operational, quality, customer satisfaction and learner performance data to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Embed strong coaching, observation and feedback practices to improve learner capability, confidence and performance.
  • Ensure training materials, assessments and delivery approaches are aligned to FCA requirements, contractual obligations and internal governance expectations.
  • Work closely with operational leaders, subject matter experts and client stakeholders to ensure training solutions remain current, relevant and effective.
  • Recruit, onboard and develop new members of the training team as required.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training interventions against agreed objectives and recommend improvements based on evidence and insight.
  • Support onsite client engagement, including consultation on training updates, content changes and future learning needs where required.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the client’s products, services and customer environment to ensure training remains commercially relevant and operationally aligned.

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience designing, delivering and continuously improving instructor‑led training, induction and upskilling programmes for new and existing colleagues.
  • Demonstratable experience of managing training plans, learner progress, trainer capability and training quality to ensure consistent delivery against business and client requirements.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment (Financial Services), with the ability to translate policy, process and regulatory requirements into effective learning interventions.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, coaching methodologies and assessment approaches, with the ability to embed these into practical training solutions.
  • Experience partnering effectively with operational leaders, subject matter experts, clients and key stakeholders.
  • Strong digital capability, with confidence using Microsoft Office and other learning or operational systems.
  • Experience of delivering classroom‑based and onsite training within fast‑paced service, contact centre, customer operations or similar environments.

Additional Experience Requirements:

  • Strong demonstrable experience designing, delivering and continuously improving training programmes within a fast‑paced service, customer operations, contact centre or similar environment.
  • Strong demonstrable experience leading or managing trainers, facilitators or learning specialists.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally financial services, with a clear understanding of how to embed policy, process and compliance requirements into training.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, coaching approaches and assessment methods.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills tailored to suit a range of audiences.
  • Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, training plans and stakeholder expectations effectively.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and other operational or learning systems.
