Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday nights, 4 on 4 off
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Operative to join our team and ensure that our stock is efficiently managed and recorded to maintain smooth operations.
Your Tasks
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Receive, check, and record deliveries to ensure accuracy against purchase orders.
- Assist in stock replenishment and organisation of warehouse or storage areas.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., procurement, dispatch) to ensure smooth and efficient inventory operations.
- Report any discrepancies, damages, or shortages to the supervisor.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the stock and storage areas.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all inventory activities.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand scanners (if required).
- Pick, pack, and prepare goods for dispatch according to orders and quality standards.
Your Profile
- Previous experience in a similar inventory, warehouse, or stock control role is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, inventory management software).
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physically fit, with the ability to lift and move items up to [weight].
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift license (preferred but not essential).
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends or overtime when required.
