Overview: As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of customer, product, and engineering. You will lead customer and pilot deployments end-to-end, working directly with users to frame problems, build and ship solutions rapidly, and ensure successful go-lives. You’ll operate in the field, iterating quickly with tight feedback loops, while translating real-world customer needs into clear product insights that shape our roadmap.
Responsibilities:
- Own customer deployments from first engagement through implementation, launch, and post-go-live iteration.
- Build, customise, and iterate workflows and integrations directly in customer environments.
- Act as the technical face of Arva AI with customers, deeply understanding their compliance processes and constraints.
- Translate customer problems into concrete product requirements, backed by evidence and clear specifications.
What You’ll Do:
- Customer Deployments: Deliver end-to-end deployments, from problem framing and solution design to implementation and go-live.
- Build in the Field: Rapidly ship workflows, configurations, and integrations directly with customers, iterating fast based on real usage and feedback.
- Problem Framing: Work closely with customer stakeholders to deeply understand their operational pain points and success criteria.
- Product Feedback Loop: Synthesize customer learnings into actionable insights for the product and engineering teams, influencing roadmap priorities.
- Implementation & Integration: Configure and integrate Arva AI into customer systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and trust.
- Iteration: Continuously refine deployed solutions to improve accuracy, usability, and customer impact, preventing regressions and edge-case failures.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with product, engineering, and leadership to align customer outcomes with long-term platform strategy.
Our Culture:
- Deliver Value Fast: Speed starts with clarity. We first understand what value actually means, for the customer, the business, or the system, and then take the shortest credible path to delivering it. We move quickly without cutting corners on quality, security, or trust.
- Outcome Obsessed: We obsess over details and take full ownership of wider outcomes, not just tasks. We think like the user, execute with rigor, and validate that every detail works in real conditions.
- Relentless Urgency: We move with urgency because time matters. We prioritise what truly moves the outcome, make decisions with imperfect information, and act decisively.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years in a software, solutions, or forward-deployed engineering role, ideally customer-facing.
- Technical Strength: Strong engineering fundamentals with the ability to quickly build, adapt, and integrate production systems.
- Comfort working across APIs, data pipelines, and modern web backends.
- Customer Empathy: Deep curiosity about how customers operate, with the ability to translate messy real-world problems into structured solutions.
- Product Mindset: Strong intuition for what should be productised versus solved tactically, and how customer learnings should shape the roadmap.
- Ownership: Comfortable taking full responsibility for deployments, outcomes, and customer success.
- Communication: Clear, confident communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bias to Action: Thrives in ambiguous environments, moving fast and making progress without waiting for perfect information.
Benefits:
- Be part of an early-stage startup with significant ownership and influence over product direction.
- Work directly with leading fintechs and banks on mission-critical compliance problems.
- Collaborate with a passionate, mission-driven team dedicated to real-world impact.
- Work from anywhere in the world for 4 weeks a year, in addition to regular team off-sites.
- Competitive salary and equity package, with bi-annual salary review and yearly performance-based equity refresh.
