We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a specialist construction division of a large multinational. The division delivers high-quality projects using panelised LGSF (Light Gauge Steel Framing) systems and operates with a high degree of autonomy and an entrepreneurial culture. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on construction professional who enjoys variety, travel, and ownership of projects across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of specialist construction projects using panelised LGSF systems, from mobilisation through to final handover.
- Ensure projects are completed safely, on programme, and to agreed quality standards.
- Travel to projects across the UK, including overnight stays as required.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring adherence to project plans and safety standards.
- Monitor site costs and provide accurate reporting to the commercial and project teams.
- Conduct site surveys, review method statements and risk assessments, and ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation.
- Ensure smooth handover of projects with minimal snagging and high satisfaction from the employer.
- Support project teams in problem-solving and proactive programme management.
About You
- Proven experience as a Site Manager within construction, ideally with exposure to panelised LGSF systems.
- Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and site legislation.
- Experience managing multiple subcontractors and complex site programmes.
- Excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to work independently, travel frequently, and adapt to a dynamic project environment.
- SMSTS qualification, CSCS card, and relevant site health & safety certifications preferred.
