A Trainee Software Support Specialist is required to join an established software and technical support team, working with industry-leading construction design software used across the UK and Ireland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career combining construction knowledge, software, and customer support.
Your role will include:
- Working closely with the software team to support the ongoing development and maintenance of specialist construction software
- Assisting with software integration alongside other internal systems
- Liaising with development teams to ensure software standards and deliverables are met
- Providing customer software support and user training
- Undertaking customer support visits when required
- Becoming proficient in Autodesk Revit and associated software
- Participating in software testing and project meetings
- Supporting Helpdesk activities and responding to customer queries
- Assisting with software demonstrations for existing clients and prospects
Following your initial training and probation period, you will also:
- Play a role in training and developing other team members
- Contribute to software requirement specifications
- Support software licensing administration and coordination
- Attend industry events where appropriate
- Continue developing your knowledge of BIM and related Autodesk products
About you:
- An interest in construction technology, BIM, or design software
- Ideally knowledge and design experience within the timber industry
- Confident communicator with good customer-facing skills
- Technically minded and keen to learn complex software systems
- Organised, proactive, and comfortable working within a team environment
- Keen to develop a long-term career in a specialist technical support role
