A well established Timber product Manufacturer company, importing and distributing softwood, hardwood and sheet materials to the UK market. This Supply Chain Manager role exists to provide strategic leadership across supply chain operations, ensuring procurement, inventory, transport and sales order processes effectively support long-term growth. Reporting at a senior level, the role would suit an experienced supply chain leader with strong commercial awareness, people leadership capability and a focus on operational excellence. The position offers board level support, genuine influence over strategy and the opportunity to shape systems, processes and performance across a complex supply chain.

As a Supply Chain Manager you will:

  • Lead and manage the supply chain management team covering sales, procurement and transport
  • Design and implement SOPs for sales and purchase order processing to improve efficiency and quality
  • Set, monitor and improve KPIs including OTIF, inventory accuracy, inventory turns and supplier compliance
  • Drive improvements to achieve OTIF and inventory accuracy targets of 99%
  • Oversee inventory management, including third party warehouse operations
  • Develop demand forecasting tools and collaborate with sales on mid to long term planning
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations and performance
