Site Manager – Offsite Construction (Timber Sector)

Salary: £50,000 + Car OR Car Allowance
Location: North East

We are looking for an experienced Site Manager with a background in timber construction, including timber frame, engineered timber or SIPS, to oversee large commercial new builds for a tier 1 contractor client base.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain RAMS.
• Perform quality assurance and inspection.
• Complete slab surveys to confirm acceptable and ready‑to‑start install.
• Oversee snagging and organise site reviews for handover.
• Check specification and conformity of goods received.

Candidate Profile

• Background working within the timber sector, ideally for a timber contractor.
• Technical competencies in timber and ability to problem‑solve on site.
• Experience managing large teams of subcontractors on site.
• Strong communication skills across all levels, both internally and externally.
• Relevant and valid site tickets such as SMSTS, CSCS & First Aid; lifting tickets advantageous.
• Willingness to travel between projects across the North East.
