A leading modular construction and building hire business is seeking a senior operational leader to oversee project delivery across England and Wales. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of modular installation, relocation, dismantling, refurbishment and collection projects. The position would suit an experienced contracts, operations or construction professional with a strong background in modular, off-site or construction project delivery who is comfortable managing multiple concurrent projects and leading geographically dispersed teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the operational delivery of modular construction and refurbishment projects across England and Wales.
  • Manage a team of three Contracts Managers and provide oversight of Site Managers across multiple live projects.
  • Coordinate project programmes and delivery schedules in collaboration with the Sales team.
  • Oversee installations, terminations, dismantling, relocations, collections and refurbishment activities.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to quality standards.
  • Support operational planning and resource allocation across a varied project portfolio.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships throughout project lifecycles.
  • Provide leadership and direction for operations, supported by an established Production Manager.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience in a senior contracts management, operations management or construction leadership role.
  • Strong background in modular construction, off-site construction, framing systems or similar project-delivery environments.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously across varied locations.
  • Good understanding of groundworks and site preparation requirements.
  • Demonstrable experience leading Contracts Managers, Site Managers or similar operational teams.
  • Strong commercial awareness and programme management capability.
  • Knowledge of health, safety and operational compliance within construction environments.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly to project sites.

Desirable:

  • Experience delivering modular building installation or relocation projects.
  • Background working across both public and private sector construction projects.
  • Experience overseeing refurbishment and reconfiguration operations.
  • Understanding of logistical planning associated with modular and off-site construction.
  • Ability to manage regional projects involving occasional overnight stays.
